RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Regional Press Secretary will work with DNC staff, Democratic state parties, and campaigns as legally permissible to promote the President’s agenda and work toward re-electing Democrats up and down the ticket. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

·         Drafting press releases/advisories, op-eds, and talking points.

·         Organizing press conferences.

·         Pitching story ideas to regional reporters.

·         Responding to press inquiries.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Candidate must have at least 5 years political experience, including past on-the-record experience; demonstrated flexibility and a sense of humor; strong writing skills a must.  Candidates must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, high-stress environment. 

 

This is not an entry-level position; previous press experience is required.
