MoveOn.org, the 8-million-strong grassroots progressive organization, just launched an audacious campaign: Run Warren Run, a massive drive to urge Elizabeth Warren to run for president. Starting now, we’re building a crack team of brilliant organizers to build a grassroots brushfire that can’t be ignored.

This is not an easy job. You’ll be building the foundation of a presidential campaign for someone who says she’s not running for president. But this is an amazing job. A potentially world-changing job. Because this moment was made for Elizabeth Warren.

The defining fights of Warren’s life new define American politics: inequality, the corrupting power of big money, and a system rigged to benefit the powerful, leaving the middle class and working families behind. Warren only ran for the U.S. Senate after a grassroots “draft Warren” campaign showed her that she’d have the support she needed, and convinced her that joining the race was the best way for her to make a difference. Your job is to show her that the same thing is true today, on a larger stage. You will create engaging journalistic content to show Senator Warren and others that, if she runs, she could win—and that her progressive vision has a place in this race.

Here’s what you’ll do:

      Produce 3-5 blog posts per week and 1-2 longer, reported stories per week on the Run Warren Run campaign, Senator Warren’s story, and the issues she champions.

      Cover events and actions organized under the Run Warren Run campaign by MoveOn members and supports across the country.

      Pitch innovative content ideas—how can we tell stories visually, harness new platforms or storytelling tactics, etc.

      Work with our communications team to develop and promote content around the Run Warren Run campaign.

Desired skills and experience:

      Passion for progressive causes and a strong desire to support Senator Warren’s bold vision and see her run for president;

      Some journalistic experience–reporting, writing, blogging—is preferred;

      Ability to pitch and create compelling content regularly;

Location: Position can be based anywhere in the US.

Duration: Hiring immediately; interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis. The goal is to draft Elizabeth Warren into the presidential race, and we’re looking for organizers who are in it to win it. Deadline to apply is Monday, December 22, 2014.

Salary and benefits: Competitive salary including benefits such as health and dental insurance, 4 weeks accrued paid vacation time per year, accrued paid sick time, and reimbursement of personal office expenses.

To Apply: Click here to submit your application, resume, and a cover letter. In the cover letter, which should be concise, please share specific examples of how you have pitched and created compelling content on a regular basis. Deadline to apply is Monday, December 22, 2014.
