Communications Director for Progressive South Florida Campaign

This is a fast paced and winnable race in a swing state for the
Presidential election. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated
self-starter to draft and implement a communications plan for a South
Florida Congressional Campaign.

Job Description:

• Identifying emerging press opportunities
• Maintaining relationships with local and national reporters to
secure
• coverage for the campaign
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive communication strategy with
campaign and consulting team.
• Execute rapid response for campaign
• Organize press events
• Develop all press materials.
• Maintaining and updating campaign press database and contact list

Qualifications:

• At least one election cycle of successful communications experience
on a Congressional or comparable race.
• Excellent organizational, strong writing and verbal communication
skills are required as well as good political judgment and the ability
to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of political and policy issues.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deadlines in
a fast paced environment.
• Dedication to the campaign, willingness to work long hours, and
ability to motivate others to do the same.

Must be willing to relocate to Florida and available to start work
immediately.
Must have own reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and
insurance, and a laptop.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
