The responsibilities of this position include: support to
one or more assigned intellectual property attorneys and
perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited
to:
a) initiate and prepare or obtain documentation necessary to
file patent applications in the USPTO, PCT and foreign
patent offices;
b) draft/submit various correspondence and standard
responses for attorney signatures;
c) docket the office actions and correspondence received
from and sent to the USPTO, PCT and foreign patent offices;
d) prepare standard agreements;
e) assist staff on specific projects;
f) coordinate meetings, schedules and travel for the
assigned attorney(s).
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: Associate's degree or paralegal
certificate. Bachelors preferred but not essential
Minimum 3-4 years experience and extensive background and
working knowledge of USPTO and foreign patent filing
practices and procedures required. Excellent organizational
and follow-up skills are necessary, as well as the ability
to prioritizing needs and working independently.
Preferred 5+ years experience.
