Description: Position Description
This position is responsible for providing "relief" as a stand-in for employees who are away from work. This position requires flexibility in that the incumbent must have the skills and abilities to perform all essential job functions within the department

JOB/PROCESS DESCRIPTION
• Responsible for operating bakery production and/or distribution equipment, including proper machine set up
• Monitoring quality and speed of throughput, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting other members of the bakery team where needed (breakdowns, emergencies, etc.)
• Monitors quality of product being produced and/or distributed
• Wears personal protective equipment as required and provided by the company. Wears appropriate uniform/clothing in accordance with GMPs/company standards.
• Ensures safe and proper use of tools and equipment; ensures hand tools are free of defects; maintains neat and orderly work area
• Practices and complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and other work rules; includes compliance with all regulatory mandates, such as lockout/tag out, electrical safety, confined spaces
• Takes appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system
• Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits.
Position Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum one to two years of machine operator experience in a production environment and/or equivalent training
• Forklift Certification preferred
• Must be able to lift weights up 50 lbs
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, walk and stand.
