I gave you an answer for doing something fairly close to what you are
trying to do, but not identical. But now it seems that for whatever reason, you are determined to go beyond that to take over the Camera object's SurfaceView. That is not supported by the framework, nor is it clear that it should be. What is so wrong with letting the Camera object do its job?
