to Joan Webster Murder
These articles bring out information that should be examined. The
only reported reference to the bag being found in NY is mentioned in
the articles. The bag would not have been transferred to NY if it had
been identified and found in Boston. Joan's case was highly
publicized by this time. Yet it was reported for years being found in
Boston. Other articles report that it is being considered that Joan
was killed by someone she knew. Glen Ridge is a short distance from
NYC and may explain the discovery of the bag in that location. It
would not have been identified in Boston and then transferred to NY.
Why are all of the press accounts wrong on this point? Burke states
in his book that the bag was found in NY. Where was Joan's bag? The
primary people giving information to the press in the early years of
the case are Tim Burke, Andrew Palombo, and Carmen Tamarro.
Another interesting point brought out in the articles is the claim
that the informant alleged Paradiso used a replica gun. This is not
in the early news accounts of the informant's statements. In his book
Trooper, Moran, one of the State Police Divers said nothing was found
in two months of continued searching after the boat was raised. Burke
contends a replica gun was found a month after the boat was located.
His book suggests a man in jail for perjury, lying, tipped him off.
The 2 inch hole in Joan's skull was believed to have been caused by a
blunt instrument. It does not sound like the kind of wound received
from a whiskey bottle that his informant's statement alleged.
The area was remote and someone would have needed familiarity and the
confidence they would not be seen to bury Joan in the Hamilton woods.
People involved with the initial investigation, who continued to
support the informant's flawed story were brought back into the case,
The case remains unresolved.
A photo caption suggests the Websters were present at the trial that
was connected to Joan's case. The Ianuzzi trial was connected to
Joan's case by the media and authorities who alleged circumstantial
evidence proved their case. No direct evidence was found. Paradiso
was never charged or indicted. He was crucified in the press. The
stories kept changing when something new was discovered.
Burke suggests that a coffee table book about the Mayan Civilization
that was out of print years before was a text book of Joan's.
A young woman died here. Was a murderer in Marie Ianuzzi's murder
allowed to go free in order to find a scapegoat to satisfy finding
someone to blame for Joan. Families have suffered. Where's the proof
Mr. Burke. Open the files in Joan's case. If your allegations have
any merit, there should be nothing to hide.
