Eitan, you mentioned in the clientjava.com article that jmatter
supports JWS.

In your site (http://jmatter.org/) I'm missing a demo app to be able to
_feel_ how it is to use such a user interface.

I know there are screenshots, a movie but I'm still missing a demo
application.

If you could put one up it would be great.

right.  i'm getting to that.  i'm thinking about bundling
hsql with it or using some kind of in-memory database
for the purpose of a jws demo..

For the in memory database take a look at h2database
(http://h2database.com/).
It is from the original developer of Hypersonic SQL (Thomas Mueller)
and I've seen people using it with Hibernate.

The database is really fast, it has a lot of features and the
developpement is very active. Plus the support is excellent: Thomas
responds to problems, requests, bugs very quickly in the forum.

Update: i have just posted a preliminary jws demo of a simple
jmatter demo application: the contact manager, up on jmatter.org

ok, so here's the disclaimer: jmatter so far is designed as a solution
for lan/vpn environments. not wan. so the client is pretty fat
(something
like 11MB).

also, since this is a demo app, i'm not doing anything fancy with
persistence: the app is configured to go against a local hsqldb
database that it creates dynamically as the application launches.

here's the url:
http://jmatter.org/ContactMgr/index.html
(case sensitive)

i've tested it on ubuntu and on a mac. seems to work ok.
in the next couple of days i'll actually add a link to the jws
demo off the web site. right now, it's not publicized.

thanks,
/ eitan
