I've uploaded a new demo page showing how to integrate jLayout and
jQuery UI:

http://www.bramstein.com/projects/jlayout/jquery-ui.html

It uses two different layouts, a border layout for the overall page
layout and a grid for the left side panel. The page also shows some
more advanced styling options of the resizing guides.

Greets.
This is, by far, phenomenal!
One question, I've been running this layout locally and I've started
to notice a somewhat strange behavior. About 1 out of every 9-10 times
I refresh the page with these components, the page is not loading
completely. In particular only accordion 1 will display and the south
div will remain hidden - it's almost as if they just don't get loaded.
But like I said, it's only about once every 9-10 times during a
refresh.

Do you have any ideas as to why this may be happening?

Thanks much in advance.

Hello,

Thank you for the kind remarks. I haven't been able to reproduce the
problem you describe. Could you please tell me a bit more about your
environment (i.e. any code modifications, browser, operating system,
etc.) This would help greatly in identifying the problem.

Thanks,

Bram

My "duh" on that. I should have included my details.

I've been testing on an iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core Duo with 4 GB RAM
running 10.5.8.
I tried it out on Firefox 3 and Safari 4.
The code was the same, I just nested it inside of another layout with
a header.

That said, after 2 days I'm actually not having the problem anymore.
I've been trying my greatest to make it happen again and it's working
perfectly.
I'm inclined to believe that it may just have been due to a lack of
system resources at the time.

Thanks for the reply; I'll chime back if it happens again, but I'm
inclined to think not. Thanks again.

Hi,

I am having the same problem running local with windows Vista home
premium and IE8
all outer regions are off screen until I do a IE8 refresh then they
show up.

This is with your online toggle code that I saved funny but your new
ui-demo works fine?

Thank you

Hi,

I just tested this, but can't seem to reproduce it (WinXP, IE8---don't
have a license for Vista unfortunately.) Did you make any modifications
to the code or page?

No modifications, copied the code you used for the demo on your
website.

If I click the IE8 refresh button then it works fine, it just does not
show
when first using.

But like I explained your new demo with the jQuery ui works fine on
first
startup.

It seems that the layout needs to be refreshed somehow to work
correctly
on IE 8.

Thank you

Perhaps a stupid question, but does it work when you view the online
demo? Also what is your IE8 version? As far as I can tell the only
difference between the layout initialization of both examples is that
the toggle example is XHTML and the UI demo HTML5.

The toggle demo should now be HTML5, let me know if that makes a difference.
