Hi folks

Is Journalisted still under development? The Google group is full of
spam :(

Any plans that can be shared?

cheers,

Dan

(Hmmmm. I sent a reply almost a week ago, but google seems to have just
swallowed it without trace... Not so good!)

Sorry about the spam - my email client was filtering it out, and I
hadn't noticed it. I've done a little cleaning and tweaked some group
settings, so hopefully it'll be less of a problem in future.

And yes - journalisted is still under development! I'm currently working
on a whole bunch of changes, the main one is to let journos submit
biography data about themselves - stuff that we can't gather from
elsewhere in any kind of bulk fashion.

I've moved my current development over to git. It's all still
(theoretically) public, in that I push all my changes up to:
http://github.com/bcampbell/journalisted
Using git started out as an experiment, but it's been working out well
and I think I'll probably make the switch official once I'm done with
the current batch of work.

Hope this answers the question,
Ben.

Great! Do you have any crosslinks to wikipedia (and hence to dbpedia.org)?

Yes thanks! I'll have a look around the github, maybe see if I can get
it running locally...

There are about 80 journos in the database at the moment with verified
wikipedia links (and a whole heap more that are wrong/unchecked and kept
hidden).

cool!
I'm doing all my work on the "journo-login" branch at the moment... it's
just me at the moment, and I'm still getting to grips with git, so my
commit/push etiquette isn't as...ummm... polished as one might like ;-)

The live site is running off the master branch.

There's a _little_ bit of documentation dotted around here and there,
but just ask if there is anything too obtuse...

Ben.
