unable to download and install

I just installed Firefox 1.5.07 and want to install the Amazing webpage
emailer but I cannot. Everytime I try, I get the warning "software
installation is currently disable, click on edit options". This I have
done.

I clicked on Edit Options, then clicked on "Exceptions" next to "Warn
me when web sites want to install extensions.." and entered
addons.mozilla.org as a permitted website, then clicked on "close" but
despite having done this, I still get the warning that the installation
is blocked. What did I miss?
