Thank you for writing. It broke my heart when I learned upon her birth. But she was so beautiful that I just needed to let her know that. I struggle everyday with how to help her and how to answer the question someday "dad, why am I diiferent"...I know in my heart she is not, but I feel the heartbreak of that conversation and it hurts everyday. She is amazing and I love her to death we just don't know how to help and you advise below is uplifting.

We had the same doubts and fears when we learned that our son would be
born without a left hand. I only wish we knew then what we know now.
Alex was born with no left hand an just a little forearm. This has
never prevented him from doing anything he set his mind to. He just
completed the post season on an 8u All-star tournament baseball team
