to change pics using button you have to call actionlistener n pass the
object of button handler in it
then make a class which implements action listener interface
and inside that class define a function void action performed i.e in that
function change the pic of the panel in the form or whatever..

r u talking about making frames n all by coding?
if it is then u can use netbeans if u want to code in java n all
frames n akll are available there drag n drop change the setting there are
some inbuilt functions also
otherwise make urself a bit clear...i mean what you want to do exactly n
where??
