This group will foster, promote and organize various activities like contests, workshops, seminars, tech demos/sessions and other events revolving around the world of Sun and it's technologies.
It'll identify, nurture and recognize technology enthusiasts and developers from the JIIT University Campus to bring them together under two primary user groups: JIITU Open Solaris User Group (JOSUG) and JIITU Java User Group (J2UG) and provide them with a platform to learn, innovate and share knowledge about cutting-edge technology from Sun.
It will drive awareness and adoption of Java, Netbeans, OpenSolaris, Sun Studio, Star/OpenOffice, Glassfish and other Sun technologies among the students and faculty at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University (http://jiit.ac.in/jiit).
