Hi fellow LUGers,

Really excited news for all you guys. We are finally having an installfest + workshop this saturday and you all are invited!

Venue: CL4
Time: 11 am to 4 pm
Day: Saturday, November 8th 2008

This will be the second installfest organized by JIIT-LUG.

What is an Install-Fest?

An InstallFest is an opportunity to get hands on help in installing and/or configuring Linux on your computer. At the install fest you can *bring your linux-related problems* to your peers and ask for help. It is also about getting to know your peers in LUG, and being able to share expertise and knowledge.

One of Prakhar's friends - Shantanu from Sarai is coming to conduct a workshop on QT programming in linux.

What to bring:  Bring your CPU or Laptop & Any piece of hardware which isn't working

Keyboards, mice and monitors will be provided. Latest copies of Major distros will be available. If you wish you may bring in your own CD's.

See you all there!!

For all those coming , please do bring your flash drives, though we
have around 90 DVD's of distro of fedora and ubuntu for Free
distribution among the installers. But to experience more wide distro
[Open suse, Mint, kubuntu, musix, backtrack, debian] install
experience, we thought why waste resources by making seprate DVD for
each. Also there is a Awesome script which prakhar sir has developed,
using which multiple flash drives can be converted into "Linux install
Drives" simultaneously , by plugging them all into all USB port. If
Possible we might get a Network install of linux too [ please some
body do that tomorrow :)] .
