Dear Jíbaros:
One of my peeves of writing newsletters is that sometimes folks unsubscribe because they get "offended" with the article in question and retort with a "whatsthis?" ... If I may say, my stuff is to enhance the awareness of my people, never to antagonize or offend anyone. I hope you can dig it and delete it or share it, never be offended. That's never my aim.

On a lighter side, the doctors have found
a way to get me to chill... sedation.

The Naked Truth About Forwarding

Just because I have a website, the spammers tools (spiders and robots or "bots"), will target me blindly assuming that there might be lots of anyt...@jibaros.com, but if you don't have a website, the bots aim at the two or three hundred addresses in your Cc: and your Bcc:

Yes! The one that you just forwarded in a "send to ten, don't break the chain". Then they add addresses to a "list" that they sell to unscrupulous merchants who spam you a lot every day. Those lists are over 6 or 7 or 10 thousand big, sometimes even more!!!

Any time you see an E-Mail that says forward this on to '10' of your friends, sign this petition, or you'll get bad luck, good luck, or whatever, it almost always has an E-Mail tracker program attached that tracks the cookies and E-Mails of those folks you forward to. The host sender is getting a copy each time it gets forwarded and then is able to get lists of 'active' E-Mails addresses to use in SPAM E-Mails, or sell to other spammers...
