This is a fairly important release in regards to bug fixes and improvements.

What's new

  • A new plugin API has been added and the Mt940 import has been converted to use it.  This allows people to write external enhancements that integrate directly into jGnash.
  • New options for displaying reversed balance accounts based on a patch for Peter Vida.  Some people prefer to see certain types of accounts reversed.
Significant Improvements / Fixes
  • Several minor fixes to tabular reports
  • A couple of obscure transaction entry bugs were fixed
  • Reinvested dividends behave correctly.
  • Options dialog has been further reorganized to support the smaller netbook displays.
Cold weather is closing in fast and I have a few home projects to button up before the snow flies.  The next few weeks will be used to let any new bugs settle out, and if needed, a minor release of 2.5.x will be pushed out.

Keep your eyes open for a new thread initiating wants and desire requests for Budgeting which will be the focus of the 2.6.0 series along with some minor speed improvements (new jdb file format required, XML will remain the same).  I don't expect to start any heavy 2.6.0 code work for 6-8 weeks.

Regards,
Craig
