Currently, JGeocoder resolves city aliases as part of the
normalization step. The alias file, however, is flawed innately
because of how the post office assigns zips. For instance, Anchorage,
AK normalizes to Indian, AK. I'd advise making this aliasing part of
the pre-geocode step as opposed to normalization. I suppose it
depends on your definition of normalized, but it made the data
structure useless for my purposes.
