Hi,

There was a post about a map component in August 2012 (http://fxexperience.com/2012/08/javafx-links-of-the-week-august-27/). The post said that mentioned component will be integrated in the JFXtras but that is not done yet.
Therefore I downloaded the sources from the author's page to see how it works and refactored it a bit.

I would like to contribute my work to the repository. But I have no idea were to submit it (repository, package). I would appreciate when someone reviews it before.

Is there someone to support me?

Cheers!

To contribute to JFXtras you'd have to sign a CLA in which you release claims on the source code.
http://steveonjava.com/jfxtras/jfxtras-individual-cla-v1-0/

After that you get committer rights and you can check your code into JFXtras-labs, which basically is the playground and the perfect place to get feedback on your work.

I signed the CLA, and signed up @ github too. But I still have only read access to JFXtras-labs.
What else so I have to do?

Normally Steve would pick this up as a result of filling out the CLA. As what user did you register at github?

I registered as "Mario-S";-)

A friend showed me how to use github, so I was able to set up a clone of JFXtras and commit my changesets there. I also opened my first pull request back to the original. But no one is assigned to it yet.

I finished the main work at the component and would like to do another pull request. But I can't since the first pull request is blocking me to do another one.

So I'm waiting to be able to do a new pull request...

I'm not too versed in the github management features yet, but if all is well, you've been granted committer rights.

Are things working? I think I saw a commit come by, right?
