I thought you might like to hear about the Jewish Alliance for Women in Science, an organization that seeks to promote the entry of Jewish women into science and healthcare careers by fostering discussion and mentoring. Although JAWS focuses on Jewish Women, we also aim to assist women from all cultural backgrounds. JAWS functions as a support system for women trying to balance their social obligations with the lifestyle that a career in science demands. JAWS hopes to strengthen the presence of women in science and establish a network of like-minded individuals.
