Join other interfaith couples to learn, discuss and share effective ways of addressing issues common to interfaith families. We focus on the role of religion for the individuals and their partners, issues pertaining to connections with families of origin and decisions about what is best for children. The atmosphere is informal and non-judgmental. This is an invaluable opportunity for interfaith couples who are dating seriously, engaged or married.
RAISING JEWISH CHILDREN WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE
This series provides educational programs and resources for raising Jewish children. We offer an introduction to Jewish ideas, values and practices, holidays and lifecycle events, and include many of the “how-to’s” of Jewish family living. Issues unique to interfaith families will be included. More than just a class, group members can share their responses and experiences with a non-judgmental group of peers.
Included will be events that involve partners, children and other family members. Register for one or two semesters.
This program will be presented by a collaboration of Interfaith Connections of Jewish Family & Children’s Service and the Leventhal- Sidman Jewish Community Center.
The fall semester of this series will meet on 6 consecutive Tuesday nights, starting October 13, 2009, from 7:00-9:00 pm at the JCC in Newton, MA.
WOMEN CHOOSING JUDAISM
Women Choosing Judaism is a unique program for women who have
converted to Judaism or are considering conversion. This series
provides an opportunity for hands-on learning and the opportunity to share ideas, experiences, and challenges. The group meets monthly on Monday nights at locations in Waltham, Brookline and Newton from 7:00-8:30pm
