What role does beauty play in Jewish life?

Is there a commandment for our homes, synagogues and ritual items to look attractive?

What about ourselves and our own bodies?

Have we become too obsessed with “looking good?”

How do we maintain balance in a world that has become focused on the external?

 

From Sunday December 27^th, 2009 to Friday January 1^st, 2010, join Pardes students and others for a taste of Pardes' unique combination of deep text learning and contemporary relevance.

 

The program includes classes, social and volunteering activities, a trip and Friday night dinner all around our central theme.

 

We have an arrangement with a local bed-and-breakfast for reasonably priced accommodations. Space is limited – please contact arl...@pardes.org.il by November 15^th, 2009 if you are interested.

 

Cost - $250 for the week, $200 for students, $50 per day

$35 discount for people who register November 1^st.
