Announcing the launch of the Jewish Job Board of Boston.
Helping to employ Boston, one job at a time.
Dear Cambridge Minyan,

In these difficult economic times, many of our fellow Jews are facing increasing difficulties in both finding and keeping gainful employment. Both the JVS and CJP have taken to listing jobs on their websites, but until now, there has not been a specific location for job seekers and employers to come together online to match up people to positions.

The Jewish Job Board of Boston has been created specifically for the purpose of helping the Jewish community find jobs. This is one of the most important services that we as a community can provide to our brothers and sisters in need. But we need your help!

Please announce this to your congregations, post on your bulletins, and send out in your newsletters - urge everyone to pass along the message.

If you, or anyone you know, has jobs available, open positions, at your company, business, workplace, etc, *please* post them on the Jewish Job Board. Pass along this message by email, by word of mouth, by any networking means that you have. The more jobs are posted, the more opportunities we give to our fellow Jews to find gainful employment.

The site is not going to open to the public for job seeking until June 15. The goal is to have a good number of jobs posted before we ask people to come searching.

Please note the following important items:

1 - The job board is located at www.jjbboston.org (nice and easy to remember- Jewish Job Board of BOSTON.org)

2 - This is a completely FREE service. There is NO charge to anyone to post or search jobs, or post or search resumes. There are no "higher levels" of membership to pay for; all services are provided completely free of charge to the users.

3 - Job seekers can enjoy total anonymity. If they wish, job seekers can avoid  a negative stigma that they may associate with being unemployed by using a self-chosen moniker.

4 - It is up to YOU to help us make this work! This is for everyone, and the only way we will succeed is if we all come together as a community and use this powerful networking tool to match up job seekers with jobs.

So check out www.jjbboston.org. All posts require approval, so even if you post a position now, be aware that it will not appear on the website until June 15.

Thank you for participating in this important mitzvah. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Shabbat Shalom,

Matthew Garland
