Consider the following verse, "He cast two bronze pillars, each
eighteen cubits high and twelve cubits around, by line. He also made
two capitals of cast bronze to set on the tops of the pillars; each
capital was five cubits high. A network of interwoven chains
festooned the capitals on top of the pillars, seven for each capital.
He made pomegranates in two rows encircling each network to decorate
the capitals on top of the pillars. He did the same for each
capital." 1 Kings 7:15-18 (NIV) The two pillars show the two
witnesses. Each pillar is 3 x 3 x 2 high making for the three
witnesses that spoke to Abraham about the birth of Isaac like a shadow
of the three witness that bore gifts to Christ at his birth and this
is yet multiplied again by two witness of the cherubim over the
atonement cover of the ark of the covenant. The fact that each pillar
is twelve wide teaches us that each one of the two witnesses brings
about a set of twelve around the throne (for Moses with the old
covenant it was the twelve patriarchs whereas with Christ with the new
covenant it was the twelve apostles). I am not really confident about
what the measurements of the two capitals mean although I think that 5
means Christ and the four living creatures. The seven interwoven
chains for each capital shows that each of the great witnesses that
are pillars in the temple of God have the ‘image’ of the seven golden
lamp stand imprinted upon them (the Holy Ghost they are both filled
with the spirit) The two rows of pomegranates could perhaps show the
seventy-two going out in sets of two as each set shadows the two great
cherubim on the atonement cover.
Note that one of the living creatures gives to the seven arc angles
the seven bowls filled with the wrath of God, "Out of the temple came
the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean,
shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests. Then one of
the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls
filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever. And the
temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power,
and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven
angels were completed." Revelation 15:6-8 (NIV) The fact that one of
the four witnesses gives to one of the seven witnesses the keys to
bring about plague means that again the four are encircled around the
throne closer than the seven. Also note that this shows one of the
four witnesses to have the power of Moses because of the number of
plagues that had been brought upon Egypt as well as the kind of
plagues. Thus we can see from the most normal form that Moses and
Elishah are the two great witnesses, the two olive trees, the two
cherubim on the ark, but they are also included in the number of the
four witnesses as is shown above with the example of one of the four
living creatures giving the seven bowls to the seven angels.
Lastly we are shown that after the sanctification process is almost
complete before glorification happens the following is thus said, "One
of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last
plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the
wife of the Lamb." Revelation 21:9 (NIV) Overall, the point is that
the entire purpose of temple worship in heaven is to bring about the
wife of the lamb of God for the marriage between the New Jerusalem and
the Lamb.
Hopefully my chasing of shadows does not cause confusion among you as
I find that temple worship in heaven involves a lot of shadows. Also
note that I am not claiming to be %100 correct regarding everything
that I have written about temple worship in the New Jerusalem.
Overall, I am exceedingly confident about everything that I have
written regarding this issue, but much room exists for expansion
clarification and other such work to be done.
