Hello,
The following message may appear to be a little lengthy, but the
reason why is because the subject is one of the most critical that I
have found that most people ignore, do not understand, or find it to
be to hard of a teaching to believe in that they water it down a lot.
Scripture is very clear about the subject, and if you understand the
message then you may find that you may also have a lot of insight into
how we are to intercede as a kingdom of priests, what the mark of the
beast is, and also the desires of evil to defile us as well as the
desires of the saints to bring us as children of God into greater
communion with God. Overall, hopefully my message will not burden
anyone in its length as I did not want to make it any shorter because
if I did then the meaning of context would be greatly lost.
Notice that the scripture talks about how we are not to be yoked with
unbelievers. "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do
righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can
light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and
Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What
agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are
the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them
and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my
people." "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the
Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." "I will be a
Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord
Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (NIV) Many people take this just to
mean that we should not marry people whom do not believe in the birth,
death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but upon careful examination
of the text we find that we should not even enter into employment by
being yoked with people whom do not believe (this is a very counter
secular pluralistic sort of stance that most politicians in the United
States would be quick to show their disapproval of).
Consider the following as the bulk of the text that Saint Paul is
commenting on, "If you see your brother's ox or sheep straying, do not
ignore it but be sure to take it back to him. If the brother does not
live near you or if you do not know who he is, take it home with you
and keep it until he comes looking for it. Then give it back to him.
Do the same if you find your brother's donkey or his cloak or anything
he loses. Do not ignore it. If you see your brother's donkey or his
ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Help him get it to its feet.
A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing,
for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this. If you come
across a bird's nest beside the road, either in a tree or on the
ground, and the mother is sitting on the young or on the eggs, do not
take the mother with the young. You may take the young, but be sure
to let the mother go, so that it may go well with you and you may have
a long life. When you build a new house, make a parapet around your
roof so that you may not bring the guilt of bloodshed on your house if
someone falls from the roof. Do not plant two kinds of seed in your
vineyard; if you do, not only the crops you plant but also the fruit
of the vineyard will be defiled. Do not plow with an ox and a donkey
yoked together. Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven
together. Make tassels on the four corners of the cloak you wear.
Deuteronomy 22:1-12 (NIV) Overall, one of the reasons why people take
the commandment not to be yoked with an unbeliever as referring to
marriage only is because Deuteronomy continues the chapter with law
regarding marital unfaithfulness, but the message is clear that God
strongly opposes his creation to be defiled through us imposing our
own will onto creation in such a way that it opposes his will. The
message is clear that God made a donkey to be a donkey and he made a
ox to be a ox, and God becomes enraged when we add a donkey with a ox
and yoke them together because they have different purposes and we
should not impose our will to use things as we see fit when that will
is against the very purpose that God has for creation such as the
purpose that he has for a ox and the purpose that he has for a
donkey.
Consider how in his age Lot sat at the gate of Sodom perhaps as an
evangelist, and he recognized the angles of the lord as he took them
into his protection while the rest of the city did not share the faith
of Lot and they became strongly desiring of Lot’s guests for purposes
of defiling them. "The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening,
and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he
got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. "My
lords," he said, "please turn aside to your servant's house. You can
wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in
the morning." "No," they answered, "we will spend the night in the
square." But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and
entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without
yeast, and they ate. Before they had gone to bed, all the men from
every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the
house. They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you
tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them. Lot
went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him and said, "No,
my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. Look, I have two daughters
who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and
you can do what you like with them. But don't do anything to these
men, for they have come under the protection of my roof." "Get out of
our way," they replied. And they said, "This fellow came here as an
alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat you worse than
them." They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break
down the door. But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back
into the house and shut the door. Then they struck the men who were
at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they
could not find the door." Genesis 19:1-11 (NIV) What happened is
that when Lot took angles of God into his house, then the entire
community that was full of fallen angles came to the house eagerly
desiring to defile them (I know from personal life experience that
this pattern of events that happened with the angels can and will
happen to anyone whom is a lamp that does not let their light shine or
holds the light back from shining). The fact that the angels struck
the men at the door with blindness tells us that they may have
revealed their glory or unveiled their light onto the fallen sort of
like what happened when Saint Paul was blinded, but the difference is
that in the case of Sodom the fallen remained fallen whereas when
Saint Paul saw the light be believed and was saved because the light
entered him.
Consider another case that is similar. "In those days Israel had no
king. Now a Levite who lived in a remote area in the hill country of
Ephraim took a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah. But she was
unfaithful to him. She left him and went back to her father's house in
Bethlehem, Judah. After she had been there four months, her husband
went to her to persuade her to return. He had with him his servant
and two donkeys. She took him into her father's house, and when her
father saw him, he gladly welcomed him. His father-in-law, the girl's
father, prevailed upon him to stay; so he remained with him three
days, eating and drinking, and sleeping there. On the fourth day they
got up early and he prepared to leave, but the girl's father said to
his son-in-law, "Refresh yourself with something to eat; then you can
go." So the two of them sat down to eat and drink together. Afterward
the girl's father said, "Please stay tonight and enjoy yourself." And
when the man got up to go, his father-in-law persuaded him, so he
stayed there that night. On the morning of the fifth day, when he
rose to go, the girl's father said, "Refresh yourself. Wait till
afternoon!" So the two of them ate together. Then when the man, with
his concubine and his servant, got up to leave, his father-in-law, the
girl's father, said, "Now look, it's almost evening. Spend the night
here; the day is nearly over. Stay and enjoy yourself. Early
tomorrow morning you can get up and be on your way home." But,
unwilling to stay another night, the man left and went toward Jebus
(that is, Jerusalem), with his two saddled donkeys and his concubine.
When they were near Jebus and the day was almost gone, the servant
said to his master, "Come, let's stop at this city of the Jebusites
and spend the night." His master replied, "No. We won't go into an
alien city, whose people are not Israelites. We will go on to
Gibeah." He added, "Come, let's try to reach Gibeah or Ramah and
spend the night in one of those places." So they went on, and the sun
set as they neared Gibeah in Benjamin. There they stopped to spend
the night. They went and sat in the city square, but no one took them
into his home for the night. That evening an old man from the hill
country of Ephraim, who was living in Gibeah (the men of the place
were Benjamites), came in from his work in the fields. When he looked
and saw the traveler in the city square, the old man asked, "Where are
you going? Where did you come from?" He answered, "We are on our way
from Bethlehem in Judah to a remote area in the hill country of
Ephraim where I live. I have been to Bethlehem in Judah and now I am
going to the house of the LORD. No one has taken me into his house.
We have both straw and fodder for our donkeys and bread and wine for
ourselves your servants—me, your maidservant, and the young man with
us. We don't need anything." "You are welcome at my house," the old
man said. "Let me supply whatever you need. Only don't spend the night
in the square." So he took him into his house and fed his donkeys.
After they had washed their feet, they had something to eat and
drink. While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of
the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to
the old man who owned the house, "Bring out the man who came to your
house so we can have sex with him." The owner of the house went
outside and said to them, "No, my friends, don't be so vile. Since
this man is my guest, don't do this disgraceful thing. Look, here is
my virgin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you
now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But to
this man, don't do such a disgraceful thing." But the men would not
listen to him. So the man took his concubine and sent her outside to
them, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at
dawn they let her go. At daybreak the woman went back to the house
where her master was staying, fell down at the door and lay there
until daylight. When her master got up in the morning and opened the
door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay
his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on
the threshold. He said to her, "Get up; let's go." But there was no
answer. Then the man put her on his donkey and set out for home.
When he reached home, he took a knife and cut up his concubine, limb
by limb, into twelve parts and sent them into all the areas of
Israel. Everyone who saw it said, "Such a thing has never been seen
or done, not since the day the Israelites came up out of Egypt. Think
about it! Consider it! Tell us what to do!" Judges 19:1-30 (NIV) The
Levite in this story was like the shepherd going out of his way to get
the lost sheep when he reclaimed his concubine, and the fact that he
come out of Bethlehem with her to go to the house of the lord (the
temple) sends us a prophetic message regarding the earthly ministry of
Christ. This concubine that the Levite had he might not have been
married to but the Levite was a priest like Lot would have been, and
the message that we could receive is that when Christ goes out as High
Priest to gather in the lost sheep it becomes the sheep that the
Shepherd loves the most thus it is that sheep that all the devils
desire to defile the most (note however that it is the work of the
Holy Ghost to gather those whom are going to be saved). Overall, what
resulted from the defilement of Israel was a civil war so terrible
that an entire tribe almost got wiped out completely, and all the
other tribes after the war had ended became forbidden to marry a
Benjamite.
The message that we get is that because of the defilement being so bad
in the tribe of Benjame they had to be destroyed leaving only a
remnant. The reason why civil war broke out is because no one from
the tribe of Benjame could be found to make justice occur and the
elders of the tribe failed to even come together with the elders from
all the other tribes to make things right. In other words because no
one could establish justice in Benjame thus all the other tribes had
to fight Benjame to destroy the defilement and to install justice once
again in order that the entire nation would be established in justice
so that defilement would not spread. Overall, what happened to
Benjame also happened to Jerusalem sometime after the crucifixion of
Jesus Christ and it will also happen at the end of time.
Consider what scripture says about the primary root cause for why
defilement occurs. "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven
against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the
truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain
to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the
creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and
divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has
been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew
God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but
their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the
glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and
birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the
sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of
their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a
lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—
who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to
shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for
unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural
relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men
committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the
due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not
think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over
to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become
filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They
are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are
gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they
invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are
senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's
righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not
only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who
practice them. Romans 1:18-32 (NIV) All across the world you may
find this defilement spreading again as secular government is imposing
laws that require these kinds of people whom seek to defile us to be
yoked with believers as this is considered a practice implemented for
the sake of causing us to put aside our differences and join together
in brotherly love while we are to overlook the desires of our
neighbors to defile us. The problem is that we are put in the
incredible position of being intercessors as a kingdom of priests over
all the earth while at the same time all the devils would like to
surround our house and defile us like in the case of Lot. Having said
this we must always carry with us the light of Jesus Christ regardless
of how politically incorrect it is because if we don’t then that is
the time that all the devils of the darkness creep in and seek to
defile us. (like in the crucifixion of Christ) When the birth, death,
and resurrection of Jesus Christ as well as his blood atonement
becomes a part of all that we do on this earth, then the light of
Jesus Christ that has entered us shines through us and protects us
from evil by clearing away the darkness (thus clearing away the
devils).
Consider the following scripture, "Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe
yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor, O
Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not
enter you again. Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, O
Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive
Daughter of Zion. For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for
nothing, and without money you will be redeemed." For this is what
the Sovereign LORD says: "At first my people went down to Egypt to
live; lately, Assyria has oppressed them. "And now what do I have
here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for
nothing, and those who rule them mock, "declares the LORD." And all
day long my name is constantly blasphemed. Therefore my people will
know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who
foretold it. Yes, it is I. "How beautiful on the mountains are the
feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good
tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for
joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own
eyes. Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for
the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem. The
LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and
all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God. Depart,
depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it
and be pure, you who carry the vessels of the LORD. But you will not
leave in haste or go in flight; for the LORD will go before you, the
God of Israel will be your rear guard. The Suffering and Glory of the
Servant See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted
up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at
him—his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his
form marred beyond human likeness— so will he sprinkle many nations,
and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were
not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will
understand. Isaiah 52:1-15 (NIV) Overall, we can see God’s plan to
redeem Jerusalem working through Isaiah’s message, and that plan
involves both God’s work in us now and his ultimate destiny for
Jerusalem as the New Jerusalem (this one section of scripture really
brings together my message in such a way that I could not say it any
clearer).
Consider the following scripture, "'You say, "We want to be like the
nations, like the peoples of the world, who serve wood and stone."
But what you have in mind will never happen. As surely as I live,
declares the Sovereign LORD, I will rule over you with a mighty hand
and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath. I will bring you
from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been
scattered—with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with
outpoured wrath. I will bring you into the desert of the nations and
there, face to face, I will execute judgment upon you. As I judged
your fathers in the desert of the land of Egypt, so I will judge you,
declares the Sovereign LORD. I will take note of you as you pass
under my rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. I
will purge you of those who revolt and rebel against me. Although I
will bring them out of the land where they are living, yet they will
not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD."
'As for you, O house of Israel, this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
Go and serve your idols, every one of you! But afterward you will
surely listen to me and no longer profane my holy name with your gifts
and idols. For on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel,
declares the Sovereign LORD, there in the land the entire house of
Israel will serve me, and there I will accept them. There I will
require your offerings and your choice gifts, along with all your holy
sacrifices. I will accept you as fragrant incense when I bring you
out from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have
been scattered, and I will show myself holy among you in the sight of
the nations. Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I bring you
into the land of Israel, the land I had sworn with uplifted hand to
give to your fathers. There you will remember your conduct and all
the actions by which you have defiled yourselves, and you will loathe
yourselves for all the evil you have done. You will know that I am
the LORD, when I deal with you for my name's sake and not according to
your evil ways and your corrupt practices, O house of Israel, declares
the Sovereign LORD.' " Ezekiel 20:32-44 (NIV) Overall, the message
of defilement and purification is clear, and we are to be a kingdom of
priests that intercede for one another with our spiritual gifts so as
to build up the body of Christ until the day comes when God will
permanently make Jerusalem un-penetrable to any darkness such that it
is forever glorified.
Lastly consider how Saint Paul opens his last letter that he ever
wrote in the scripture, "I long to see you so that I may impart to you
some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be
mutually encouraged by each other's faith. Romans 1:11-12 (NIV) The
point is that Saint Paul was all about intercession, but he was also
very much in favor of receiving what God would give him through the
intercession of others as well. Overall, having said this the
believers in Rome built up the body of Christ like a fire that is
burning such that the darkness got pushed further and further back;
moreover, this shows us a picture of how the New Jerusalem will be
established forever.
Thank you,
