Hello,

I do not want people to think that I am against growing gardens and farming. I in fact I am very much in favor of the family business and work. I am writing the following because Just today I believe that God gave me a message regarding the family business and work.

First of all for the ancient Jews they rotated their crops on a yearly bases, and this was to replenish the soil and such (the soil is the nutrients that cause the growth of crops usually the byproduct of live stock and such that is reinvested just like Jesus broke the bread for the multitude and the scraps had been saved in baskets to be reinvested). Rotating the crops on a seven year cycle means to me that the Jews had at lest seven types of seeds to spread and this I think is confirmed with the notion of the seven fold spirit, seven spirits of God, as seen in Revelation with the lamb of God with its seven horns and seven eyes. Rotating crops on a seven year bases shows how God grew different fruits of the spirit at different times in ancient Israel, and this also can be reflected by how the Hebrew scripture shows God moving from Justice to Grace and back and forth. Every year the Jews had to fight off a different type of predator in a seven year cycle, and this means that every family would have been accustom to the specific needs of each type of crop that they grew each year as well as all crops grown. Overall, because a person’s neighbors might be growing a different crop then other neighbors thus each neighbor’s crops had natural plant produced chemicals that would have drifted by the air (the spirit) that would have mixed and combined to kill most pests. Much need however still existed for fighting off predators (this the Jews had problems with at times as their crops stopped producing).

We must be a little concerned with ancient seeds and preserves that we inherit, and we should listen to what our forbears say about them. If we are not confident about what the seed will produce and its needs, then we may have to perform a test growing to see what it does. Not only that but preserves that are to old or preserves that are not made correctly can have bacteria that is deadly; moreover, these preserves have to be tested to see their quality. As a result, we should be cautious of the faith of many of the earlier church fathers, but I am not saying like some that we should depart from the early church fathers and their work.

Today mono-cropping is usually practiced in the United States as well as around the world, and this means that one field will have the same crop for vast distances (this produces many problems with common predators and maul nutrition in many churches). Not only that but many farms do not practice crop rotation, and for that reason the ground gets depleted of nutrition. Not only that but people believe that if things do not happen a certain way, then their is a problem or God is not working in their life or in their church. This is because when corn grows for hundreds of miles year after year God has to act in the same exact way to bless the crops, and people thus only look in one particular way for God’s blessings and work. With mono-cropping, farmers prepare for only a few predators (namely the one’s that eat their crops). Overall, with mono-cropping that has no crop rotation farmers become increasingly advanced in their field production but their produce become less and less nutritious and with their work to repel predators being more and more artificial thus a lot of production occurs but a lot is lost.

The wonderful part of orchards is that just a small seed makes a tree that grows year after year producing thousands or tens of thousands of fruits and nuts, and even more important is that orchards produce hard wood that is good for furniture and wood products (good for the production of buildings and the rest of the physical world). I am very much in favor of orchards, and orchards are impervious to almost all predators. The problem is that orchards need to be pruned to grow and they take a huge investment of time with little fruits at first. Orchards are often the best to produce the most fruit and nuts, but unfortunately the trees also cast a large shadow (evil and darkness) causing things under them not to grow unless the trees are extremely tall and mature with distance between them. Orchards are receptive of diseases that make the trees sick and these diseases can be greatly be reduced by fertilizing the ground (this occurs by constantly increasing scriptural teaching and its quality). Wildlife sometimes eats young trees and kills them, and not only that but also orchards attract bees that sting as well as snakes (these being the servants of evil). The main problem that a orchard can have is fire, and fires happen when people become extremely admit about their new teaching that occurs from wood rubbing against wood (often worldly politics or ideas) producing friction and causes the old wood that is often laying around dead to be burnt in order that the new way may have room to grow and this causes the need to replant the orchard least it go to waist.

Vineyards are yet another wonderful way of producing fruit. One Vineyard can be produced by one vine (this is because many vines are seedless), and what is particularly the case is that a vine can be cut, and part of it can be moved to another location and then transplanted in order to make a new vine (with a vine based church it takes more than just a seed to cause evangelism to flourish but instead parts of the entire plant). Not only that but also vines are very receptive to small animals eating them. Weeds that kill grapes and other such vines are just like grape vines themselves in a appearance with a few exceptions, but only they work to strangle the grapes and often produce poisonous fruit. (A vine based church may believe that Jesus is only able to be experienced by people in the building when all the church is together for communion.)

Live stock farms are perhaps very popular because cows produce milk and meet (this is good for rearing young Christians), sheep produce wool (wool produces clothing that protects Christians from the elements) and meet (meet feeds the mature), pigs produce meet, rabbits are used for meet, and some exotic animals such as the camel can be used for transportation (the ultimate evangelical vehicle) and hair for clothing (suits and fine clothing protective of all elements including heat, cold, and rain). Cows are usually all reproduced by one bull, and this bull is the political leader of them all (the bull should be Christ but is often their earthly king or political system that indoctrinates them). Sheep produce wool, and they have to be constantly brushed so that objects do not get matted into their wool making it useless (sheep can not care for themselves at all and they need all their needs cared for lest they become unproductive and parish). Pigs live in deplorable conditions (they are usually always cast out of the church), and they wallow in their own filth making them undesirable to maintain. Rabbits will produce hair used for clothing as well as meet, but they will eat anything and are receptive to almost every other meet eating animal as a predator. Animals such as camels and horses are good for transportation as they are able to handle terrain at high speeds; moreover, a camel can travel vast distances in the hottest weather in the worst rocky and sharpest ground without the need for water for long periods of time (the camel can find the Holy Ghost or water in the desert and can go without God’s interaction for long periods of time because of its protections and note that the ancient Hebrews whom lived prior to living in Egypt may have been camels in nature).

Most important is that some people farm flowers and other such things for perfume and beauty (these bloom and quickly fade unless preserved like people whom sing praises to God or have some other talent). Not only that but also bees are farmed that eat flower parts and vomit them to make honey, and this process makes honey (honey producers are those whom feed on the rare talents of others and transform this into something that is beautiful, editable, and sweet like a hymn instructor, Christian librarian, or seminary professor). Not only that but herbs are even farmed for extremely high value to produce healing qualities and such (these are often prayerful people that have the gift of healing because they can work many miracles as their teaching may be bitter to the test because if its directness and extremely honest qualities that attack the problem at hand for the purpose of healing).

Fish are farmed in schools, and these are unintelligent and they generally are completely separated from our world (fish are usually described in the scripture as being those who belong to the kingdom of this world). Not only that but they are either top feeders (eating from heavenly things), bottom feeders (eating from things that dwell in darkness), or predators to each other (like the shark in business that prays on other fish). Although fish can be used as food, they are hard to catch and often need to be lured or caught in nets (Peter I believe once cast a net that drew thousands by addressing the people saying, "you crucified Christ."). Overall, bottom feeders are terrible to eat, predators are dangerous once caught until they are killed (then given a new nature), and top feeders are safe to eat and safe to catch (these may be those whom are overly liberal whom never understood the scripture).

One important note about gardening is that gardens are not like commercial farms in that a garden may have a diverse collection of fruits, vegetables, and such without the intense work to produce (guardians are not gown for profit even though money can be made with them). A garden can be very diverse and can produce all needed food for a family without the need to buy food at a market. Overall, gardens allow for people to produce food under the direct blessing of God. Although gardens can often end in some foods not being developed into maturity because of lack of knowledge and skill on behalf of the gardener, a good gardener may have vast more knowledge about diverse food production than what a commercial farmer would have.

What is important to note is that in woods and undeveloped arias around farms diverse animals, trees, and plants live, but most of these are not fruitful and each life has much protection to prevent predators from destroying them (these are those in the world whom might not particularly belong to a church). In the woods the things that do produce fruit and are fruitful have to be guarded by God directly to produce, and without a care taker they do not produce like farms and gardens do. It is in this aria that predators live that sometimes come out of the wilderness to go into farms and gardens to kill, eat, and run back to the wilderness for protection given by the hiding in the darkness and chaos. Overall, woods and developed arias are in place for each life’s own purposes and their own personal desires, and for the most part everything that lives in these lands often does not serve a higher purpose for the most part. The only way that harvesting of woods and wilderness exists is by hunting and gathering, and in this action someone has to enter, search, and collect the produce (John the Baptist was a hunter and gatherer we are told according to the scripture).

What is important at this point to note is that animals like goats and pigs eat anything, and because of this they can be bad to eat especially pigs that are filled with parasite eggs. Goats and pigs get into so much trouble that pigs will actually eat a farmer if he falls in the pig pin, and goats can die because of what they eat. Most importantly both charge and are more trouble than they are worth, and for this reason they are often cast out.

One day when the lion lays down with the lamb the old order of things will disappear, and individual farms and gardens will be replaced by a communal farm. When this occurs God will rearrange all of the agriculture production, and we will all live in one nation under one organized government with Christ as the head. Overall, the result will be the answer to the prayer of Jesus Christ that we all be one just as him and the father are one.

I hope in all of this that anyone reading this may develop to understand enough about farming so that food, clothing, wood products, and beauty production may increase. It is my hope that God may bless each of you with a garden, and remember the one whom can be trusted with little can be trusted with a lot. Overall, by all means be fruitful and multiply.

Thank you,

Mathew Enoch Mount

Hi Matt:

Interesting look at farming and food.  I had a dream a month or two ago.  The kind where you wake up with a cold sweat and come to a sense of clarity.  Our world is rather small, kind of like a bowl of soup.  Go to the center of the pacific.  Its full of junk from both Asia and the Americas.  Its a bowl of soup and man has unleashed God knows what into our environment.

The point being - as we go up the food chain - the concentration of toxic chemicals increases in animals - by absorption.  First a little in plants, then a little higher in things that live on plants, then higher in things that live on things, etc.

If I could (I'm married and my wife - being a filipina - has her own ideas) I'd become a vegetarian.  I tried once, when I was 25 - that was 17 years ago and the stores didn't really service you then - plus I had a high metabolism - and was eating constantly.  So much so, my jaws hurt and I was just barely maintaining my weight.
I am just suggesting that for those that can.  A vegetarian diet might be the way to go.

Know the Lord,

Pete
