to Jesus On the Web
The most elemental act of worship is to offer ourselves as living
sacrifices before the Lord, "I urge you, brothers, in view of God's
mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to
God—this is your spiritual act of worship." Romans 12:1 (NIV) In
other words we are to be crucified with Christ, so that we will be
risen with the Lord to heavenly places both now and in the kingdom to
come.

Christ Jesus is the cornerstone that the builders rejected according
to scripture, and just as his body is the temple as he said destroy
this temple and I will rebuild it in three days, thus we are to be
living stones in Christ our temple by being crucified with him and
risen with him. "As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by
men but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living
stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy
priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through
Jesus Christ."
1 Peter 2:4-5 (NIV) Overall, this spiritual sacrifice like that of
the prostitute that anointed the feet of Jesus is what caused Jesus to
have her anoint his head as well, and this is the kind of self
sacrifice that makes us able to be a priesthood that intercedes for
God and man because after the act of washing the feet of Jesus he then
washed the feet of the disciples and told them to go and do likewise.

We learn from the scripture that all of the Israelites had been a
kingdom of priests making intercession for all the nations if and only
if they kept the covenant of God. "Now if you obey me fully and keep
my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured
possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a
kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words you are to
speak to the Israelites." Exodus 19:5-6 (NIV) According to Jesus
Christ the summery of the law is to love God with all your heart,
mind, soul, and strength, and we should also do thus what is liken to
it by loving our brother as our selves. When we do these things we
can intercede between God and man by working to fulfill the Lords
prayer by making earth as it is in heaven.

The most central teaching of intercession between God and man rests in
the blood atonement of Christ as this is the origin of all
intercession that the kingdom of priests is to perform. "And they
sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its
seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men
for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have
made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will
reign on the earth." Then I looked and heard the voice of many
angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten
thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the
elders." Revelation 5:9-11 (NIV) Overall, everyone whom has been
purchased by blood by the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is to encircle
the throne of God in the order that God has given them.

Hi all:

Pure fantasy.  You're addicted to rite.

Christ was innocent.  With out sin.  The mere fact that he had to live a finite life here on earth is enough.  Imagery is imagery.  The stupidity of man confuses imagery with a necessary rite.

"And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "My son, your sins are forgiven."  Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts,  "Why does this man speak thus?  It is blasphemy!  Who can forgive sins but God alone?"  And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them,  "Why do you question thus in your hearts?  Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, take up your pallet and walk'?  But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins: - he said to the paralytic - "I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home."  And he rose, and immediately took up the pallet and went before them all; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this."  MK 2: 5-12

I piss on your need for blood atonement.  After all, urine is sterile.  How's that for blasphemy.

Know the Lord,

Pete

Hello,

Peter as long as you recognize and willingly confess your own argument as blasphemy regarding your views of blood atonement, then I need not prove to everyone else that your argument is blasphemy.

Thank you,

Hi Matt:

We both know that is not what I meant.  I was refering to the quote.  The scribes were accusing Jesus of blasphemy.   How can I blaspheme something that isn't true?

Furthermore, I will say that I am a son of man.  Therefore, I have the power to forgive sins.  A power that even death can't take away.

Know the Lord,

Pete
