New Jerusalem - Two Witnesses
Regarding the two witnesses standing beside the river of life such as
has been demonstrated in both Moses and Aaron standing as shepherds on
either side of the testimony of God the following is said regarding
this living water, "whoever drinks the water I give him will never
thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of
water welling up to eternal life." John 4:14 (NIV). The woman whom
Jesus said this to asked for a drink of this living water so that she
would never be thirty again, and Jesus asked her to come back with his
husband (she had 5 husbands and the man she was living with was not
her husband). Overall, Jesus thus demonstrates both the river of life
and the Shepherds or two swards (remember the two swards that the
disciples took on prior to Christ crucifixion) of the testimony coming
forth from him in this way as he told the woman to come back with her
husband before he would give her the drink of living water so that she
would never be thirty again.
Scripture thus says the following about the issue, "Then the angel
showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing
from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great
street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life,
bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the
leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will
there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the
city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his
name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They
will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the
Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
The angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord,
the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his
servants the things that must soon take place." Revelation 22:1-6
(NIV) Aaron and Moses had been shadows from the light of the New
Jerusalem to show the two trees on either side of the river of life,
but more correctly Moses and Jesus (as like the second Moses) become
the trees on each side of the river with Moses baring the fruit of the
twelve tribes of Israel and Jesus baring the fruit of the twelve
apostles. More clearly though Moses and Elijah appear with Jesus
before his crucifixion as they came out from him to speak with him and
the book of Revelation shows the two witness having the powers of
Elijah and Moses.
The following shows how God gives his two witness the powers of Elijah
and Moses as they act as two swards that guard entrance into the Most
Holy place and they guard the atonement by blood for all the people.
"And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for
1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth." These are the two olive trees and
the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. If anyone
tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their
enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. These men
have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time
they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into
blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as
they want." Revelation 11:3-6 (NIV) The swards of these men is the
fire that comes from their mouths according to verse 5 just as fire
would come from the most holy place to consume the enemies of God.
Leviticus 10:1-3
The scripture shows that the two witness are before the seven priests
or seven arch angels over all creation by showing the two witness in
relation to the seven golden lamp stand. "Then the angel who talked
with me returned and wakened me, as a man is wakened from his sleep.
He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a solid gold
lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lights on it, with seven
channels to the lights. Also there are two olive trees by it, one on
the right of the bowl and the other on its left." I asked the angel
who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?" He answered, "Do you
not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I replied. So he said to
me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by
power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. "What are you, O
mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then
he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless
it!' " Zechariah 4:1-7 (NIV) We know that Christ is the capstone
that the builders rejected (Hosanna to the Son of David) and we know
that the seven golden lamp stands are the spirits of God, and thus by
faith of a mustard seed that can tell a mountain to throw itself into
the sea and it will obey thus not by power but by the Holy Ghost
working through Christ in faith his work is accomplished not by force
but through spirit just as the Seven horns and the seven eyes of the
lamb see and interject the breath of God into creation just as the
seven priests blew the horns and caused the walls of Jericho to
crumble before the ark of the lord. (Yes Jesus is really God in the
flesh)
The seven arch angles before the throne of God whom are the angels of
the seven churches in revelation act as the seven eyes of the lamb of
God whom was slain and by his blood that purchased men. "Who despises
the day of small things? Men will rejoice when they see the plumb line
in the hand of Zerubbabel. "(These seven are the eyes of the LORD,
which range throughout the earth.)" Then I asked the angel, "What are
these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?"
Again I asked him, "What are these two olive branches beside the two
gold pipes that pour out golden oil?" He replied, "Do you not know
what these are?" "No, my lord," I said. So he said, "These are the
two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth." Zechariah
4:10-14 (NIV) Again we see the two witness in relation to the Holy
Ghost or seven spirits of God over all the earth, and these two
witness anoint through their golden oil those whom serve just as Moses
and Aaron are both Cohen whom ordered and structured all the rest of
the Levite people whom then interceded for the rest of the people.
To conclude however the two witness over the atonement cover of the
ark (the throne of God) are more commonly shadowed as Moses and
Elijah "Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah,
talking with Jesus." Matthew 17:3 (NIV) Overall, we know that God
spoke between these two Cherubim on the cover of the ark or God, and
it was also this place that the blood of the lamb was applied to once
a years by the High Priest to intercede for the people on the day of
atonement and thus Christ fulfilled this as High Priest according to
Hebrews by going into the temple of heaven and offering his own blood
as High Priest.
