The dominance of human introspection, touting the cause of self,
has often obscured the equality of extraspective perspective. If we
accept GOD as living abstract, so it is, we accept Lucifer as
abstract, leaving us the question of his claim to life. Sa tan’ is a
convenient descriptor used in attempt to immortalize, and in some
sense, deify that which is neither immortal or deity. The “accuser” /
“ adversary” is as real as we have made him to be, granting him
entrance into our minds self fulfilling prophesy. Certainly we are
subject to his ministrations but to often fail to limit his influence
upon us. The question is why?
Mortal beings need for a natural explanation of calamity, lead
them into the world of the supernatural for comfort and solace in the
midst of distress and torment. Fear of the unknown piercing our body,
mind, and spirit leads us to fault within and without. If not “I”
then surely “they”. In times of great adversity “HIM”. Even our best
intentions can lead to confusion defining who “HE” is. HE made me do
this, or the antithesis, HE let this happen to me. Most problematic
is that although mortals are taught differently, they in stupor, endow
GOD and Lucifer as having the same supernatural powers. A very
natural, but dangerous, process of thought. So how did this happen?
The simple answer is, we did it to ourselves. Over the expanse
of time, very subtly, very consistently, human beings have constructed
a belief system about Lucifer similarly in the way we have constructed
a belief system about St. Nicholas. Is St. Nicholas and Santa Clause
one and the same? Are they facsimile? Perhaps the most influential
of all historical allegory is Dante’s Inferno. Did this divine comedy
start out as art imitating life, or life imitating art? Are Dante’s
Inferno and other auspicious works worthy of temperate suspicious
review, if not for any other reason then propriety? Too often
doctrine is driven by greed, agenda, and self interest. Can we with
effect circumvent this?
Yes, in one word GOD. To seek GOD in spirit and truth is more
than mind service. It takes courage, perseverance, and patience to
sort fact from fiction, reality from tradition, wisdom from
ignorance. Because truth is individually subjective, we need remember
GOD is objectively flesh and without the possibility of lie. Which
leads us to this last question; Is the absence of a lie perfect
conformation of the truth?

Wow, deep and well thought out.

You make some comments, ask some questions and draw some conclusions
all at once.

So for the person "browsing" along the site, is there a central thesis
or question you would like to discuss?

CyberChaplin,

Being that GOD is infinite, topics are too infinite. Any thesis that
offers him reverence is worthy of discussion. To speak of or discuss
GOD in respect of his being, is worship in its most simplistic
form ...

Hello,

First, Cyber Chaplin, I would like to welcome you and ask (for
marketing purposes) what lead you to join Jesus on the Web (was it
facebook, google, or other), and next I would like to say that I am
sort of a fan of Saint Augistine myself to some extent. Next, I would
like to inform everyone that although I am not a fan of pragmatism,
since the pragmatic approach to God would be for Abraham to fulfill
God’s promise by brining forth Ishmael through union with Hagar, I
nevertheless realize that pragmatism is very popular among many
members of our news group as many have graduated from the Department
of Philosophy at Southern Illinois University. Lastly, I would like
to welcome everyone to give a rebuke, commentary, or what not on my
paper for a Metaphysics class in 2005 that thoroughly brings forth the
distinction of the persons of the Trinity while showing how their
personalities shape our reality (others have taken up this work like
Brother Larry whom is working on the Iowa City congregation).

Please consider the following link.

By the way Jews for centuries believed that Satan was extremely
powerless apart from God giving him power because the book of Job
shows God starting the conversation with Satan by saying, "Have you
considered by servant Job." As a result, many have argued that the
conception of Satan having god like qualities emerges from Gnosticism
drawing from non scriptural material. Overall, even Jesus addresses
Judas before he betrayed Christ and said, "do what it is you are going
to do, and do it quickly."

Thank you,
