Hi Gérard,
JEC have a mechanism that enables working with self signed certificates, this mechanism automatically adds to the privekeystore file (in JEC lib) self signed certificates sent from exchange server, for this to work a JVM command is added when running JEC:
-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=.\lib\privkeystore
you can look at jec_examples.bat for reference.
in case of valid certificates this mechanism is disabled (SSL communication will work without it).

1. JEC supports all email attachments, unless the email is corrupted.
2. As Indicated at the site, you're entitled of one year of free upgrades.
3. The license costs $699USD and is permanent, its yours forever, no annual renews.

There is an example:
getEmailsWithAttachmetExample()

If the email can be parsed as MimeMultipart, you can use the method: getMimeMultipart() to get this Javamail object and then get all the email fields and the attachments, see javamail documentation for more info.
Also attached an extension for the evaluation.
