Feature request: Better support for multiple screens
|
| |
There are really just two desired features I have here that I think
would be useful.
1. If I have two screens with different dimensions, the window stays
the size of the screen it was first opened in (in my case smaller
one), leaving blanket space (i.e. not full-screen) around the window
when moved to my other larger screen.... more »

Probably being stupid...
|
| |
Hi,
I'm probably being really stupid, but I was just typing a whole lot of
stuff up on DarkRoom, and when I tried to undo a mistake I'd made, I
pressed command/control + z, the standard undo shortcut. Unfortunately
it deleted everything that I'd written and I was wondering if this was
completely the wrong key and there was in fact a different undo key?... more »

Short Cuts
|
| |
I know that what makes this software great is the simplicity. minimal
graphics and for me the black background and white text also the date
function.
adding shortcuts to do some advanced functions doesn't effect that
philosophy. things like scroll to the beginning of the page or the End
those would be the "home" and "End" on a PC (this would make me a... more »

Icon
|
| |
The Icon doesn't work very well on any operating system with a dark
background, because the Icon looks the same as the background. This
makes it very hard to tell, and makes it look like a blank space
between my Icons.

Screensaver?
|
| |
Hello,
When I start JDarkRoom, the black screen pop upp and the green
letters, but the the screen fades to black. The only thing I can see
is the faded letters if I type something, so it's very hard to see
what I type. Is it supposed to be like that? If so I don't really like
it, as I have a bit of a poor eyesight and it'll only get worse if I... more »

Port to Android?
|
| |
C'mon,
I'd buy it. If you look at all of the options on the market today for
android, there are only a couple of apps and most are crap.
Is there any interest in porting this over to android?
Thanks!

2 feature suggestions
|
| |
1. Making mouse cursor disappear short while after you start typing
(aids concentration, de-clutters screen.
2. Make caret thicker. Hairline is way too narrow. Also, it does not
change appearance whether it is in insert or overtype mode.

"How to Change Cursor Color" on Linux for Newbie
|
| |
Howdy. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. I am relatively new
to Linux and my first time now trying JDarkRoom. I'm Trying to use
JDarkroom with Background set to black and Text to neon green, because
I find it much easier on my eyes. However, since cursor remains black
in black background, no can see. Is possible to change? I googled, and... more »

Linux (Ubuntu) multiple displays
|
| |
Hi - wondering if anyone else has run into this issue:
In Ubuntu 10.10, running any possible flavor of java, I receive the
"Full-screen mode not supported. Please consider upgrading your
version of Java..." error on my workstation that has multiple
displays.
I noticed that if I disable my second monitor, everything works great.... more »

Features Request -- Coming from a Fiction writer and a Java Software Engineer
|
| |
I'm a Fiction student (Master of Fine Arts) and a Java Software
engineer. For a full fledged, project management tool, I use
Scrivener, but I see myself coming back to JDarkRoom because of its
simplicity. As a professional writer, there are a few features that
I'd like to see in JDarkroom which will not add any complexity and... more »
