Some Suggestions v13

Hi, here are some suggestions & bug reports on the new v13 beta :

1. Suggestion : I think the traditional ./conf is better than
$HOME/.jdarkroom for portablility

2. Bug : The Alt+Tab switch doesnot seem to work for me (on Vista)
when switching directly to another application. I must first switch
from JDarkRoom to Show Desktop and then to another application
instead.

3. Bug : when reopenning a saved txt file, JDarkRoom automatically
delete all the blank lines between paragraphs in the document. I donot
know if this is related to the EOL character or not (I am using the
Windows one).

Anyway, I really love this application, much better than DarkRoom I
used to use long ago...

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the feedback. Here's my response:

1. That's interesting. I found that the previous method made it
difficult to support multiple users' settings. There is always the
environment variable JDARKROOM_CONF that you could specify (see
website).

2. Unfortunately(?) I do not have a Vista machine to test on. You
could try Ctrl-K, which is another way to switch out of full screen
mode.

3. That doesn't sound good! I'll see if I can replicate it. In the
meantime, could you file a bug report on http://bugs.codealchemists.com
? it would greatly help tracking of this issue.

Thanks for the reply.

1. I tend to reinstall windows once in a while so reinstalling every
apps or resetting all EVs is never appealing to me...:(...But if you
really think the new method is good for most people then just ignore
my suggestion

2. Thanks for the tip. Ctrl-K works for me though the msg box is quite
annoying, I see it not necessary at all. Also the Win-Tab combination
is having the same bug as Alt-Tab

3. I was ready to report this bug until I found that there is no v13b
build in the "Select Build" section...:P...

Anyway, thanks again for the great app...:)...

Hello - I can confirm this bug using the standard Xandros on an Eee,
with Java 1.5. Saving a file removes all duplicate newline characters
apart from one of them (so all gaps between paragraphs are removed, no
matter how long i.e. s/\n+/\n/g).

I couldn't find the bug on the tracker but I may have missed it.
