Hi,

Is somebody running (or has ran) jBrout on Windows Vista, Windows Seven
or Windows 8?
Has somebody mark down his/her installation procedure ?
If so, could you please share (english or french) ?

I successfully installed and jBrout on Vista. I don't have my Vista laptop around currently, but I may have had to install jBrout in another folder than Program Files in order to avoid some UAC issues. I can check this evening if you want me to. I have just tested in Windows Seven 64 bits and jBrout seems to work. IIRC, I just I used an old setup: jBrout-0.3.282-Setup.exe which installed jBrout in the Program Files (x86) folder.

I would be glad you'll do so.

I just checked, I used the same old setup on Vista. I also managed to run jBrout in an separate folder completely outside of Windows' aplications setup control by downloading from svn (so that I have 2 versions of jBrout on my Vista system), but I can't remember how I did this initially. But it does work that way too.

I'm not very proficient with seven (I mainly use linux and xp), but UAC, that's what caused me trouble when I tried to update (using git-svn) my jbrout installation in Program Files ? I wouln't face the same if I installed it in my user directory, then ?

Best regards,
Francois
