Wrong exif jpeg orientation

I noticed that some exif jpeg image are shown rotated wrong on jBrout
whereas other Linux jpeg manager, such as Gthumb or even Nautilus
previews are shown with correct orientation. If I rotate them I get
right image in jBrout but wrong on other clients...
Any clue?

it's an exif info which contains the minimez version of the jpeg ....which is already in the jpeg !!!
if your thumbnails are rotated wrong against the original, it's mainly because you had used a program to rotate them which doesn't rotate "INTERNAL exif thumbnail" (a bad program ;-)!!!
(I think i should write a faq entry on this, because every month i must say that, in this forum ;-)

JBrout doesn't touch the "date modification time" of the picture (in a near future : it will change)
so i think nautilus and other are not able to regenerate the ".thumbnails file", according date.
If you manually regenerate them, it should be ok ...

What I was missing was that jBrout rotate both the image file and the
image preview inside Exif whereas other apps don't.
The tricky thing was that gThumb does actually show exif info together
with a thumbnail and I assumed that that was the efix image preview, but
it isn't :)
