It seems like an old version of jbrout for ubuntu 11.04 with pyexiv2 0.3. I think it is not compatible. You could try using the svn version, there was a number of changes between r284 and r338 especially relative to pyexiv2. Unless someone packages a new .deb ?

I didn't dare wink, but i guess you felt it. Who does the packaging job, usually?
Manatlan, I thought about something for the .deb packaging: maybe you could include in the repository the necessary files (like Debian/control) so that anyone could build the package from source? (this could be a a stupid idea, I never built a package myself and actually only use jbrout package to install dependencies)
