incorrect exif/iptc tags

I just installed jBrout and I get this message when I try to import. I
am using Ubuntu 11.04.

Photo has incorrect exif/iptc tags, can't be imported :

Which version of jbrout are you using ? and are your pictures in read only mode ?

No, my photos are not in read only mode. I can edit them with other programs.

It seems like an old version of jbrout  for ubuntu 11.04 with pyexiv2 0.3. I think it is not compatible. You could try using the svn version, there was a number of changes between r284 and r338 especially relative to pyexiv2. Unless someone packages a new .deb ?

I didn't dare wink, but i guess  you felt it. Who does the packaging job, usually?

Manatlan, I thought about something for the .deb packaging: maybe you could include in the repository the necessary files (like Debian/control) so that anyone could build the package from source? (this could be a a stupid idea, I never built a package myself and actually only use jbrout package to install dependencies)

for making deb : it's only me ...

jbrout don't follow the debian rules ... but use my py2deb lib for making the deb.

all tools for building win, dem, rpm, tgz packages are included in the trunk ...

for deb/rpm/tgz, see the command
