jBASEWORK folder

Hi,

 

Can anyone explains to me the use of this jBASEWORK folder which is located in bnk.run, its records are called tmp_0, tmp_1 etc. what is use of this records can it be deleted and not cause any problem to the system?

Hi Felix:

You haven't provided enough information to answer your question. What
version of jBase are you running? For future posts, I'd suggest
reading the guidelines on the minimum of information that should be
provided when looking for assistance. Otherwise, the moderator, who is
a known cannibal, will likely come looking for you with utensils in
hand... :-)

Please read the posting guidelines before posting zzzzzzzzZZZZ zzzzzZZZZZZ! Don’t know why I bother sometimes.

 

You really need to tell us what the operating system is and what version of jBASE and so on. But:

 

1)      jBASEWORK is what it says, a work file;

2)      It can be removed and recreated on a reboot, before users are let on the system;

3)      It isn’t a good idea to remove these records while the system is live;

4)      Why do you have this configured as a directory – maybe that is the default in jBASE 4.1 or jBASE 5 now though as a lot of things that this file stores are no longer required with the thread based model;
