T24: Routine to replace TXTINP

Hello to all of you,

I hope you had great time during your vacations and you are all fully
loaded...

my question is: is there a routine to replace TXTINP (at INPUT.ROUTINE
or AUTH.ROUTINE level on a VERSION). The manual does not recommend its
usage.

what I specifically want to do is to print two different slips
(depending on the case) and before printing I want a prompt with
options 'YES' 'NO' to be given to the user.

Hi,
probably you're under Globus Desktop. TXTINP will not work under
Browser client and that's why it's not recommended in manuals. If you
plan to stay with Desktop then don't worry. Otherwise... unfortunately
Browser client is missing interactivity and being criticized for
that... You can create a local field where user can put his choice of
Yes/No before committing the record. Ugly but works.

I'm finally using routines in a deal slip format to cover both cases for different slips

instead of local printing via an INPUT routine.
