Hi all,

This group was originally created to provide jBASE users with an outlet to discuss issues, successes and ideas.  Over the past few years, the focus of this group has turned more toward Globus/T24.  As the original creator of this group, I have discussed this with the other managers of the group and we have come to an executive decision.

As of December 31st, 2011, we will stop accepting Globus/T24 posts on this forum.  We suggest that one of the more high profile T24 users create a forum specifically for Globus/T24 where your users can go to get the help they need for this environment.  Of course, any true jBASE questions from T24 users are still welcome.

Thank you for your cooperation and support,

Rick

[Reminder]

In 30 days (December 31, 2011) this forum will stop approving all T24/Globus posts.  If someone would like to start a T24 forum, we would be happy to pass that information on to our members.

Thank you for your support,

Rick

This was sent to me from one of our users:

"There is already a very good and active forums for T24 at www.t24all.com with forums like: functional, technical, jbase, OS

I don't see why there's a need for yet another one."

All,

This forum is now a completely jBASE forum again.  All T24/Globus post should be directed to the appropriate forums.

I disagree on this statement by the user. Relying on a single forum can spell disaster in the long term. What harm would it do to have more forums on T24? Search engines like Google are always capable of searching any number of forum for user's queries. Aren't they? www.t24e.com is another forum on T24/Globus.

Hi.

As far as I know, this is a jBase list only. The matter has kind of been
settled some while ago.

As far as T24/Globus is concerned, there are forums, including your own,
but what I find lacking isn't forums: it's mailing lists, indexable by
Markmail and such. The T24 ban on this list is indeed a loss in this
respect.

But let's drop the T24 topic on this list.
