T24: MG.BALANCES data

Hi all

This is piece of the help for "Record Start Date" field in MG.BALANCES
table:
"Because the volume of data retained for each contract, the
MG.BALANCES file becomes very large after a number of years. To
overcome this problem, data from individual records on this file is
periodically archived to the MG.BALANCES.HIST file."

Can anyone tell me after how many years/months the data stay on
MG.BALANCES before transferring on MG.BALANCES.HIST?

   yes we can .. There are setup  in MG.PARAMETER , Please make use of the following 2 fields YEARS.ON.LIVE.BAL  BALANCE.HIST.DATE in MG.PARAMETER record.

You are true about those fields.

BALANCE.HIST.DATE cannot be changed once the record is authorized
For YEARS.ON.LIVE.BAL it says nothing.
Ok
Because we are now working with MG, and didn't before
YEARS.ON.LIVE.BAL = 1
BALANCE.HIST.DATE = 31 Dec 1999

Does it mean that at the first run of the archive routine the
BALANCE.HIST.DATE will change in 31 Dec 2009?
YEARS.ON.LIVE.BAL is noinput field,
Can/Should I change it (via JED) if I want to?
