Guys,

Is anyone having an issue with v4.1.6.8 (win) when you compile and
catalog a program in an Accuterm session?

It appears that the strange chars are being inserted in the return
string of either the BASIC or CATALOG commands causing the TCL <ctrl>
P and <ctrl>N commands to stop working.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks for your help,

Rick

If I install Accuterm a dialog box comes up and says "Dear Jim, Do you remember that you said you would never install Accuterm? Press [OK] to uninstall, Press [CANCEL] to uninstall, Press [UNINSTALL] to install SecureCRT"

What this most likely is, in rough order of chance:

1) Your TERM variable is not set to whatever Accuterm thinks it is emulating;
2) Your TERM variable is set correctly, but Accuterm's emulation of whatever this is, is not very good;
3) Your TERM variable is set correctly, Accuterm emulates correctly, but the terminfo definition for the terminal in question is incorrect in some way;
4) Someone hard coded some kind of escape sequence in to the BASIC or CATALOG commands;
5) You are using something dumbass like Wyse emulation and need to set it to Application Mode vs Terminal Mode or something similar;
6) It's your fault;
7) It's Greg's fault;
8) Something else.

Hmm - maybe I should have made #6 come before #1.

Jim
