Whew! Glad to find out the world isn't actually ending in 2012...but merely
being "transformed".

It's funny (to me, at least) that anyone would turn to the clergy of any
religion in order to forecast and comprehend the movement of the planets and
the behavior of the solar system...instead of the scientists. of course, for
some people, science is a religion itself.

and science tells us two things about 2012:

1. it will happen after 2011 and precede 2013

and

2. it will be a leap year.

I agree that the clergy of today can have no answers for many people.
But you don't seem to know much about the Mayan calendar. Did you
read the 3 pages or just start typing? There is a tremendous amount
of science, [ plain old mathematics] involved in someone in pre-
Columbian Mexico knowing the exact date that the planets of our solar
system are all going to be in near alignment on the same side of the
sun on a certain day in august in 1987. It's probably just a
coincidence that the berlin wall came down not too long after that
date. Then Russia fell apart a bit after that. But hey, they are just
a bunch of heathens saying that the biggest asshole nations are going
to have the roughest time during this 25 year transition into the
next set of changes. Seems a little more like science than most of
the other popular mythologies millions of people buy into.

But don't feel bad. I got an email from a life long friend warning me
to let everyone know that the Copenhagen treaty is just a front and
slippery slope into the new world order. The republilban's version of
truth justice and the Amurikun way. Sounds bit like the one about how
the healthcare initiative is just a back door to commie pinko faggot
socialized medicine. Same scheming lying source both times. Yer tax
dollars at work.

Ya see, that was the whole point of the post. If anyone takes the
time to read the rantings of the heathen scholar they will see that
it has nothing to do with endings at all. But what could they have
known back then. After all of christiandum thought the planets
revolved around the earth and killed or ostrisized those who dared
question the wisdum of the clergy. I guess nothing ever really
changes. And it takes alot less time to be wrong than to read 12
paragraphs of drivil.

Actually, I think you are referring to Catholicism, and not Christianity.

That's a fact, it was "Catholicism" and not "Christianity" ....

OK .. now I see in the original post the use of the word 'christiandum' could be misinterpreted as all of Christianity (Christendom) -- but, in actuality, the historic fact of " the planets revolved around the earth and killed or ostrisized those who dared question the wisdum of the clergy" was in deed a chapter in the of the "Catholic" church .....

Just for the record.....

What he was trying to say was "Christendom". He just misspelled it.

I hesitate to comment since this has nothing to do with jazz guitar that
I can see... but: Christendom is a term used to describe all of
Christianity. Besides the original quote is probably referring to the
time before most or all of the Protestant sects had split from the
Catholic church.

Ron my good man, let me warn you about the H1N1 vaccine. Now, you
may have heard that this vaccine, like other evil vaccines, can
give your child autism. No no no; it's far more scary than that! I
urge you friend, to watch this informative video. it will only take
a moment of your time and will open your eyes to the real agenda of
big pharma and the liberal elites.
