You may not know Art as you receive this post....
but, you can know that Art D'Lugoff contributed to the world of music
in the grand way only Art could have done.
He touched more lives than we could imagine. We will keep you posted
on memorial information.

A Sad Day for So Many of
us here on Earth - Yet the Heavens are rejoicing his Presence.
Our dear friend Art D'Lugoff passed away last evening.
Art was filled with life and a huge influence in the music world.
His presence continues in the Heavens with all musicians who are gone
from earth.
The world famous Jazz club 'Village Gate' owned by Art D'Lugoff.
Art was our Booking
Manager these past few years and we will miss him with all of our
hearts.
He was first introduced to us by one of his early performers at the
'Village Gate' ,
and our dear friend - guitarist/composer Jorge Morel. From that day on
we were like family.
Yesterday, we 'just happened' to be watching a video
from a special day when we were with Art and other loved ones.
I think he had us unearth the video from our outer hard-drive archives
to let us know he
is healthy in mind, body and spirit.
A short time after watching the video we received notice of his
passing.

Art D'Lugoff ... a real genuine and heartfelt club owner .... I can;t count how many shows I've seen throughtout the years at the Village Gate ... Art was a real lover of the art of jazz .... he will be missed ...
