Job Description:

• Application Development in Core and Advanced Java (Spring MVC)
  
• Work on cloud service platforms like Citrix CloudPlatform, CloudPortal, Openstack, Cloudstack etc.
  
• Design, architect, implement new features and optimize existing ones from controller-level to UI
  
• Work with the world's most well-known and respected software developers, systems architects and operations engineers.
  
• Adherence to agile development methods like TDD, BDD, peer code reviews, continuous deployment & integration
  
• Pro-actively look for ways to make the Applications better
  

 

Education and Professional Experience: 

Minimum 2 - 5 years of professional software engineering experience

 

Desired Skills & Expertise:

• Must have excellent hands on experience (1+ years) building Java-based Applications.
  
• Expert in MVC frameworks like Spring, Struts
  
• Good Understanding of Object Orient Design Principles, Design patterns, web-services, SOAP/RESTFul APIs.
  
• Hands-on Experience on Linux/Unix experience is a must.
  
• Experience with testing frameworks - jUnit
  
• Experience in using databases like MySQL, Postgresql is desired.
  
• Excellent knowledge of version control systems like Git, SVN with hands on experience of branching, merging code etc.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Agile Methodologies
  

Nice to have Skills:

• Experience with NoSQL databases, Pub-sub and Caching Mechanisms.
  
• Exposure to Cloud Computing platforms (Amazon, Rackspace etc.) would be a bonus.
  
• Contribution to open source projects, participation in technical community discussions or interest groups.
  
• SQL and Data Modeling for Performance
