There was a great example of Rickrolling in 2008 during the Macy's
Thanksgiving Day Parade. The float for the excellent show Foster's Home for
Imaginary Friends was rolling into view, when all of a sudden the music
changed to Astley's song and Rick Astley himself walked out onto the float
and performed (or lip-synced) his song. It was hilarious.

I've re-loaded Microsoft Money 2004, it's old, but still very good and
you must be able to pick that up cheap 2nd hand... I think it was only
£40 new at the time! I tried a few open source ones, but they all
felt rather clunky. I am using a Mac and installed VirtualBox to get
XP running on it - it was actually worth it.

and both duckrolling and its evolution to rickrolling comes from
4chan. Which you shouldn't go to if you value your sanity, not to
mention the professional courtesy (such as e.g. being employed) of
those who can see your computer screen. But it can be hilarious on
occasion.

In episode WhateverICan'tRemember, Joe explained rick rolling as
coming from goatse - whilst in some base sense that is true (tricking
people into looking at something else), really it came more from "duck
rolling" - tricking people into looking at a picture of a duck with
wheels on it (hence the "rolling" bit).

I've always thoroughly enjoyed the holiday episodes, despite them
being a little lighter in news and Java content. One thing that
intrigued me a bit in this episode was Joe's discussion of the
measures Apple takes to maintain secrecy around new products, and
their reasons for doing so.
Certainly, I understand the benefits of maintaining secrecy around
