Hi guys,

JavaPosse talks a lot about Google Docs because of its collaborative
text editing feature. One problem with Google docs is, that you have
to have a Google account (which is not for all people that I work with
[paranoia]) and also supports chat during text editing.

I have found a new "service" which I find quite nice. You can set up a
session and then send a (tiny url like) link around to others to join
that session (without any account). We have tried it out and it is
working very nice.

All the best,
Adam Giemza

(P.S. I am not working for that company or what ever, just wanted to
let you know about this)

Another usefull tool is GObby, a collaborative editor I've used for online meetings and collaborative editing a couple of times.

I think GObby beats google docs for a couple of applications. Mainly because it's more realtime. Google docs can feel a bit sluggish at times.

John
