Alternative methods for sending Thresholds and Alerts

I have gone through the documentations and found that currently Javamelody does not support sending alerts on breaching certain Threshold values.

 

Therefore is there any alternative way to configure the same till the time this feature does not get developed in the tool.

If possible can you please send me some documentations on how to configure and work with this alternative method.
