still be an alternate JDK5 release if at all possible.

Well 0.3 would be that...1.0 already moved to JDK 6 and started using
the SwingWorker that is part of JDK 6, instead of importing it as a
3rd party library

Just for information, SwingX released a new version this week (1.6)
which can be only use with jdk 1.6.
