Subject: Please Help Teodora
Please take a moment to read this request for help:

With deep despair and limited time, we bring to you the hopeless
situation of a two-year-old girl, Teodora Irimiea, who was born with
congenital heart disease, for which there is no available treatment in
her country of Romania.

Teodora was born with multiple defects to the structure of her heart,
which are serious threats to the continuation of her life.  We were able
to conclude from the doctors treating her that her situation is turning
for the worse and she is currently in critical condition, awaiting to
die.

We have pleaded our case to a few hospitals in USA and found one that was
willing to try the operation. Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center gave us
the global package of $44,000 which will include the
costs of the operation, angiograms, and hospital stay.  We were looking
for a way to bring her here through an emergency visa.  However, the
American embassy denied her an emergency visa on grounds that we do not
have an affidavit of support from the hospital or any other institution,
or individual(s).  Citing legal reasons, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical
Center can't give us a document promising to cover the costs of such a
difficult operation.

We are desperately looking for anyone who can help us in any way
financially.  We are hoping to come up with the $44,000 so we can prove
to the embassy that we have the means of  covering the costs of the
operation.  Time more than anything is of essence since every day that
Teodora is alive proves her will to survive and the miracle of having
made it past two-years-old.  Thus, we would appreciate any response from
you as soon as possible.  Any recommendations, suggestions, or other
contact persons (foundations) would be valuably appreciated.

Should you need a tax-exempt institution, we can provide you with the tax
id number of
Maranatha Romanian Baptist Church (USA).

We would like to thank you in advance for your attention to this critical
matter.

Please do not hesitate to contact any of us at the email
addresses listed below.

Sincerely,

Ligia Andor
