Featured guest teacher is Carmine Guida. He will be teaching Begintermediate Darbuka at 6:30PM -- only $15! This class is designed for drummers who are ready to learn practical rhythm combinations useful for playing songs and making a drum circle more fun. Learn how to add fills and embellishments. This workshop is perfect for anyone who already knows the basic hits and rhythms.

Just a quick reminder that Ishtar is opening for PhatManDee and her band *this* Friday at 11PM at the Ava Lounge – 126 South Highland Ave. Cover is $7.00. PhatManDee will be performing unique jazz songs with Colter Harper, Tony DiPaolo and Nick Ragheb. The last set of the night will combine forces of both bands. Hear PhatManDee sing in Turkish!

September 23, Sunday @ 8PM, Ishtar rocks Murphy's Tap Room in Regent Square (1106 South Braddock Ave 15218). Our featured dancer is Hakan, the ONLY male bellydancer in Pittsburgh. He will be performing an improvisational drum solo and a sword dance. Hakan is not to be missed!!! FREE event! (18+ please) Open floor dancing and jam session with the band immediately following.
