I'm running a code which creates a log of DiskMemImage objects, and I've
found that each new object creates and leaves a daemon thread running,
even after it is disposed. I looked at the code, and it seems
DiskMemImage.createGraphics() will create a new a new cache with

Hello all,

The structure of the source repos for JAITools and Jiffle has been
changed a little. The "releases" branch has turned into "stable" and
versioning between it and master is more sensible than before (see
other thread about versioning and repos for the long story).

No one else with any opinions on this it seems... Just your organised
mind vs my lazy anarchism :)

OK, so it's effectively veto rather than vote. I'm happy with that.

No doubt it's true that writing out requirements and proposed design
for each new feature is valuable.

Does a project as small as this one require formal proposals and
voting ? A simpler alternative is just to be more diligent about
discussing current and proposed work on the list. While proposals can
serve as history and the basis for docs, they don't seem to be used
